Burger's Finale: A Taste to Remember in Shanghai | 汉堡的终章:当味道留在上海

What happens when a Western-born burger meets the rich flavors of the East? The final stop of the 2025 HOCH Burger Festival arrived at Shanghai MixC, where over 40 handcrafted burger brands from 24 cities gathered to celebrate a delicious fusion of East and West.

A Journey That Begins with Taste

Once upon a time, a little burger traveled across the ocean to a mysterious Eastern land. Not only did it adapt effortlessly—it found a new sense of belonging. Now, it has a dream of its own: to become a true “Chinese Burger.”

Throughout its nationwide journey, the little burger discovered a world of flavors — sea buckthorn from Shanxi, satay sauce from the South, and Michelin seasonal creations from Shanghai. Every bite was a story of creativity, locality, and warmth.

Voices from the Festival

“This burger uses fruit — that’s really unique,” said Ms. Yang. “They blend in local ingredients like chili sauce from each region. It’s creative and perfectly suits Chinese tastes.”

“I queued for about 20 minutes,” said Ms. Sun. “The beef is juicy and flavorful — I love beef, and this one’s really worth it.”

“There are fish and sausage versions too,” added Ms. Dai. “It completely changes the traditional image of a burger.”

The New Taste of a “Chinese Burger”

HOCH, short for Hamburger of China, symbolizes the fusion of Eastern and Western culinary cultures. From November 28 to December 7, Shanghai MixC welcomed over 1.4 million visitors, more than double the number from last year. It generated 160 million RMB in spending, a 32% year-on-year increase, injecting strong vitality into the city’s winter economy.

当“舶来”的西式汉堡遇见东方味道,会碰撞出怎样的火花?2025 HOCH汉堡节全国巡展的收官之站来到上海万象城,来自全国24个城市的40多家手作汉堡品牌齐聚申城,共同开启了一场中西融合的美食奇遇。

一场“奇遇记”,从味蕾开始

很久很久以前,一只可爱的小汉堡漂洋过海,来到神秘的东方国度。它没有水土不服,反而很快融入其中。如今,它有了新的目标——成为一个地地道道的“中国汉堡”。

在全国巡展的旅程中,小汉堡一路“结识”了不同的味道:来自山西的沙棘、南方的沙茶酱、上海的米其林限量款……每一口,都是地域风土与创意灵感的交融。

各地食客的反馈

“这款汉堡里加了水果,挺特别的。”市民杨女士笑着说,“他们用了当地的辣椒酱等特产,味道很有创意,也更适合中国人的口味。”

“我排了二十分钟,但挺值得的。”孙女士说,“牛肉汁水很足,我特别爱吃牛肉,这个真的不错。”

“有鱼的、也有香肠的,挺颠覆我对汉堡的印象。”戴女士补充道,“选择很多,也很新鲜。”

“中国汉堡”的新味道

HOCH中国汉堡节展现了美食文化东西方融合。不仅如此,小小汉堡蕴藏了巨大的商业价值:11月28日至12月7日,活动举办地位于闵行的上海万象城商场客流超140万人次,同比增长一倍多;带动消费1.6亿元人民币,同比增长32%,为上海的消费市场注入强大活力。
